From Here to the Ends of the Earth

The task before us is significant, grave, and clear. It is significant because the commission has been given to us by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It is grave because Scripture plainly tells us that people are perishing eternally because of their sin and God's judgment against it and missing out on the life he's purchased for them. It is clear because it is frequently communicated in a clear and precise manner in God's Word: "Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.' For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. He desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (Matt. 28:18-20, John 3:16-17, 1 Tim. 2:4, Rom. 10:13-15, and Matt. 9:38, ESV).

LOCAL

We engage locally in the task of making disciples mainly through our Missional Communities. However, we also do this through the Intensive and Pastoral Training.

The Intensive

The Intensive was created to provide students with discipleship and leadership training in the context of a missional community. This program seeks to grow students holistically in a gospel-centered approach to discipleship, mission, and leadership. The personal development of students is much more important to us than what they can do for BC. We believe students will experience this growth and development as they participate in the vision, community, and mission of BC over 10 weeks during the course of the summer. For more information, go here.

Pastoral Training

By partnering with the SBC seminaries, we can train future pastors in the practical aspects of church planting and pastoring while they complete their theological training online. This format allows future pastors to be trained without being disconnected from local church ministry.

Domestic

One aspect of our church's vision to get the gospel to as many people as possible is church planting. Because of this we set aside 10% of our budget every year for starting and supporting new churches. We also participate in two church planting networks: Acts 29 and PLANT Midwest.

Global

We currently support church planters in East Asia, Spain, and India.

East Asia

Since 2011, we've had two members serving among college students in East Asia.  This couple and their team are working to reach, disciple, and train students to take the gospel to the unreached peoples of East Asia and the world.  BC has sent a steady stream of people to work with them, and we would love to continue to support their ministry.

Ways you can help: pray for this family and their team, go on a trip, give to help

support those who go to serve with this family. For more info, email

Spain

In 2012, we sent a young family from our church to join a church planting team in southern Spain. Barely 1% of Spaniards are evangelical Christians, and the fastest growing religions in Spain are Islam and Atheism. Our friends in Spain are focused on church planting, community evangelism, and mentoring young people to take the gospel to other inhospitable areas, both in secular Europe and closed countries in the 10/40 window.

Ways you can help: pray for this family, serve as a missionary apprentice with

them for 18 months, give to help support them. For more info, email

India

In 2014, we began a partnership with a local planter we'll call D.L. in one of India's seven sacred cities. The area D.L. is working in is 0.12% Christian. The gospel is spreading through his work and recently he and his church have been facing persecution.

Ways you can help: pray for him and his family, go on a trip, give to help support him and/or pastoral training in India. For more info, email
