A missional community is a community (family) of gospel-formed individuals (saints) who, with a shared focus and intentionality, grow in and share the gospel as they make disciples who make disciples (ministers and messengers).
While a missional community might do any of the activities that a typical community group or small group would do, the purpose of those activities will be entirely different. In the typical community group or small group, such activities are generally pursued simply to foster community, fellowship, and growth among believers. A missional community, on the other hand, does all of its activities with Jesus and his mission in focus and as its purpose.
